NUSTARS high-altitude balloon was recovered at the end of October during harvest. The photo is a view of the umbra from 100,000 ft. above the Mississippi River. The balloon was launched on August 21, 2017 from Perryville, MO as part of the Illinois Space Grant Eclipse project. NUSTARS is a Northwestern University student engineering organization.
