ACRE: Autonomous Casting RovEr
Faculty Advisor: Dr. Ian McCue

Congratulations to the Northwestern University Team for being selected as one of the seven universities selected to develop concepts supporting metal production on the Moon.

Finalist teams will travel to the annual BIG Idea Forum in November at Glenn Research Center to present their concepts in a technical design review (that includes a proof-of-concept demonstration) to the judging panel. At its discretion, NASA Space Technology Mission Directorate’s Game Changing Development Program may choose to fund further the development of any concept that has the potential to be “flight-ready.”
